What they mean together
The Sun lights up the union of The Lovers. For love, it's about as good as it gets. Joy, honesty, and a relationship lived out in the open, with no secrets.
In love
Happy love that's returned. If you're single, a cheerful, sincere encounter. If you were unsure, the answer is clear.
Career and money
Collaborations that go well and good decisions. You're doing what you love and it shows.
An example
Suppose you ask whether the person you like feels the same way, and The Lovers and The Sun come up. Few answers are this clear. The interest is real and there's no need to play guessing games. Show up as you are and enjoy it without fear. If you're already in a relationship, it's a happy stretch full of plans and laughter.
By position in the spread
In the past
There was a happy love story or a good decision that brought you joy. It helps you remember what you deserve.
In the present
Love is being lived honestly and lightly. Take steps, celebrate, and say what you feel.
In the future
A happy meeting, a relationship that settles in, or a choice that will make you smile. In love, what's coming looks very good.
If they come up reversed
With The Sun reversed, the joy is there but something clouds it, like very high expectations or small misunderstandings. If The Lovers are reversed, there are doubts or an imbalance in the choice. With both reversed, love needs more honesty to get its shine back.
Choose what makes you happy, without asking permission.
