Knight of Wands
action, adventure, passion
A knight sits on a rearing horse, ready to charge. This is impulse, travel, moving house, adventure. There's no shortage of fire here. What's often missing is the patience to finish what was started.
The image and its symbolism
In the Rider-Waite deck, a knight in armor and a salamander tunic rides a rearing horse, ready to set off. He holds a staff and has a plume on his helmet, and in the background pyramid-shaped mountains rise from a desert landscape. The rearing horse is impulse, and the salamanders are fire. The desert is new territory to cross.
What Knight of Wands means
The Knight of Wands is pure action. It shows up when you decide to move within a week, take off on a spontaneous trip, or change your plans overnight. There's plenty of appetite for adventure.
Go after what you want, but galloping is tiring. Anything that starts with this much force needs some consistency to go the distance. Move, yes, but watch your step and finish what you start. If you're jumping from one plan to the next without completing any, pick one and give it your best.
